I am very happy with this Bissell PowerClean Furguard cordless vacuum. It picks up hair, dirt and cat litter better than any other cordless I've tried. My only complaint is that the battery doesn't last as long as I'd like.

Thank you for the feedback Cheryl! The unit does have an Eco Mode which runs up to 50 minutes. This may help increase that run time!

I honestly was surprised by this vacuum, it pulls more dirt than my upright vacuum. Great for carpets and hard flooring. The only complaint I have is the battery life, I can vacuum my house quickly with the second strongest setting. If I switch to the strongest setting I can only vacuum for like 15 at best. Every night I vacuum my pet hair (two double coated large dogs and two cats) and my kids mess (sand and random foliage) with zero issues, even if I accidentally vacuum a nerf dart.

I bought the FurGuard to replace an aging and smaller Hoover that I've used for 7 years. The FurGuard is heavier and a bit less maneuverable but the suction is twice as strong. The main vacuum head is too tall to fit under my kitchen toe-kicks.I thought I might be getting away from time-consuming cleaning after vacuuming, but I still have to dismantle parts. The dirt cup empties easily, but dust static clings to the surface. I use a dust brush on my old canister vacuum to remove dust, then wipe the surfaces with a microfiber towel. Surprisingly, the pre and post motor filters stay remarkably clean even when the dust cup is full.
I find vacuum advertisements comical because they often demonstrate suction with breakfast cereal which is hardly a challenge for any vacuum. A better test would be to vacuum up birdseed. The FurGuard struggles with it. So, is Bissell up for that challenge?

I really like this vacuum! My dog sheds a LOT and my life is much better now that I can quickly run this vacuum around every day. I do think that the suction isn't optimal - it doesn't pull dirt in sideways; you have to be right on top of it.
