There is a terrible design flaw to this product. I've owned it one month and already had to replace the belt three times. Dog hair accumulates in the belt track, then it heats up and melts the belt. Terrible design for something advertised as a "pet" vacuum. When the belt works it does vacuum up a lot of hair but the aggravation and cost of replacing the belt every ten days is not worth it. Would only recommend it to someone without a pet.

Taking care of our pet hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel I now have a better handle on the pet hair in my house with this Bissell CleanView Swivel Rewind Pet Upright Vacuum! It literally took me under a minute to take this out of the box, put together a couple of pieces and begin vacuuming. The cord rewind is definitely a step up from all the other upright vacuums I've had. No more unwinding and winding the cord. I can simply pull the cord out to plug in and when I'm done press the button and it automatically rewinds hiding the cord inside. The swival design allows me to easily get under and around furniture. The suction is powerful picking up all the dirt and pet hair I can see. It's so easy to pull the extension wand out, pop on one of the included tools and clean up above me or those harder to clean areas like between my stairway spindles. When I'm done I pop out the canister and with one push easily empty out the debris out the bottom straight into the garbage. I really appreciate that the filter just rinses off in water so there is no bother with having to buy filters to replace.

I love the suction this machine has. I vacuumed the day before I received this new vacuum and couldn’t believe how much more dirt it sucked up. I love everything about this vacuum except 2 things thus the 4 star rating. You cannot vacuum under beds and chairs well because the handle doesn’t move back far enough. I found out the hard way using the turbo eraser tool on steps that the brush roll continues to rotate which left a bad roll mark in my carpet. Sort of ate my carpet. After re reading the instructions manual I saw that you cannot turn that off. That should have probably been in bold print.

No disable for the main brush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You can't turn off the main brush, so if your using just the hose and any extension tools, the main brush is still running and will wear out the belt quicker, or get caught up i something. We've been through 4 belts in 2 years because of this.

Good vacuum for pet owners

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this is a good vacuum. I was very pleased with the suction (for both carpet and hard floors) and the attachment options. I absolutely love the cord rewind feature, but I think the button for the rewind should be closer to the actual cord. The amount of push buttons (power, cord rewind, and tilt) are all too close to each other. I would hit cord rewind when I meant to tilt the vacuum. My other concern about this vacuum is the weight of the base especially since I was carrying it to different levels of my home. I found the bottom to be bulky, heavy and difficult to navigate into tight spaces. It was easy to empty the canister and I also loved how easy it was to release the wand and use the different attachments. Love the clear canister and seeing the progress on cleaning. Overall a good vacuum if you have pets and do not have to carry it up or down stairs. Thanks to Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing this.

Powerful, flexible, and a new favorite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the CleanView Swivel Rewind Pet Upright Vacuum as part of the Stellar Testing Panel. The suction is so powerful and pulls out dirt that I didn't even realize was there. It swivels and turns great making it easy to maneuver. My favorite tool is the Active Extension Wand with the TurboEraser pet tool. I used this combination on my carpeted stairs and was completely shocked how great it did at removing dirt and dog hair. We had professional cleaners at our home a few days prior so I didn't expect much dirt, but I was wrong. I wish they had used this vacuum for our stairs! The cord rewind was not a feature I anticipated wanting or needing because that feature can easily malfunction. But now that I've used the Automatic Cord Rewind on this Bissell vacuum, I want a cord rewind on all corded appliances. It was easy to control and worked as expected. The XL Easy Empty Dirt Tank meant I could clean for a longer stretch before needing to empty the tank. It was very easy to empty. I wish the cord was slightly longer, but the cord still gives me plenty of flexibility and maneuverability in my home. I also found the vacuum to be slightly heavy but I think this is because I had been used to using a stick vacuum versus an upright. However, this Bissell CleanView Swivel Rewind Pet Upright Vacuum has changed my thoughts on using only a stick vacuum. I believe I will be reaching for this vacuum first especially because the Active Extension Wand allows me to reach all areas I used to get with the stick vacuum, but this Bissell vacuum was able to give the areas a true deep clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this vacuum for the last few weeks and I am continually impressed with the power and how well it works. We have older carpet in our home and our old vaccum worked fine, but this vacuum lifts the carpet and makes in look almost new again. It is lightweight and easy to move around. I can quickly clean a room and get into those hard to reach corners. The included wand and pet hair tool made clean our dog's hair off of the stairs and furniture a breeze. The tank was easy to remove, dump and reattach with the push of a button. I did a side by side comparison using my old vacuum and the new Bissell CleanView. After cleaning our family room with my old machine, I then went over it with the Bissell and was shocked at how much hair my old vacuum left behind. The Bissell CleanView Swivel is definately my new favorite for daily use. Thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for giving me the chance to try this great new vacuum.
