Good but could have been better.

Sony's hype is through the roof of course, it's Sony. Everyone expects great things from Sony especially after the delay of this product to work on the product more. The Previous model had issues with the tips and unfortunately these same tips exist again with this model. I get that they need these tips to push their ANC because the majority of the ANC is done with the tips but I was hoping that they made this different this time. They also returned with the same battery life on paper, but I believe they managed to get 1 additional hour, which is good, but again, others on the market are better at 11 hours these days, and I expected Sony to come out leading the way or at least equaling the best on the market today in battery life.
Now, unto what Sony does best. Their features are always top-notch. I love this year that Google's activation with voice and reading my text message automatically on even an Android phone is here. This is one of the features as a android owner that I missed so much from owning a apple phone and products. So thank you, Sony, for making this happen with this product. The Vent is another thing I'm grateful for. Venting was a serious issue for me with the last xm5's. They claimed to have it, but it didn't, or it didn't have enough. The Xm6 has the right amount finally and works well. It doesn't make my head hurt with pressure build-up as the XM5 did. So again, thank you, Sony. The touch controls are perfect in senstivity but I still wish I had the ability to fully customize the controls. Then we have Anc, which are good, not the best of all earphones, but at least one of the best, as long as these tips fit your ears well. Finally, the sound. I'm glad they had the sound looked at and mastered better this time. And while it's better, I just expected Sony to truly take over the bluetooth sound world this time out but it doesn't. Yes it's a little better but it should have been better.

Best Earbuds I've Tried!

After many years of Airpods/Pro and Galaxy Buds3 Pro I got a pair of WF-1000XM6! picked up the WH XM6s a while back and have come to love and trust the sound Sony provides. Made the jump here and have no regrets! know so many hate the bricked design. I am loving it already compared to a flat pill shape that has to be laid on its back or tips over all the time. It's still quite compact and easy to pocket too! The sound is so good as well. So glad I switched!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing update to the xm5

Sound Coming from the xm5 this sounds crisp and detailed. The previous flagship had a warm and enveloping nature. The m6 just has incredible clarity. Battery life- as a rideshare driver for the city I live in, I took them for spin and after 9 hours they still had 40% left. The volume slider was 1/3 of the way on the app. 24 hour later I took the xm5 for the same work routine. They had 20% left and battery warning came on. This is without ANC because the foam tips such a remarkable job on both models! Features- both models are packed to the gills and versatile as they come. The one gripe I have is the speak to chat function. In the m5, link buds fit, wh xm6, and more models this function pauses whatever media is on at the moment. On the new xm6 it just lowers the volume and turns on ambient mode! This is such a step back and Sony can address it with a firmware update, if possible. Why have it in the unit, only to have it pared back unlike in other models!? Fit and comfort- these stay put thanks to the foam tips. Oddly enough I find the xm5 to isolate better than the new xm6.. ANC- these do get astoundingly silent a feat I barely used on the xm5 due to how effective it was, and the inclusion of the foam tips.
Overall this is a great update despite the pared back speak to chat function that I consistently use for my daily routine.
