Garage Ready, Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were looking a Freezer, which can be located in the garage. We could not find one by other manufacturers at a reasonable price. This freezer is compact, does not take-up much space. Reversible doors. Ample Freezer space. Loud Alarm, when the freezer door is not fully closed. This is a helpful feature especially for freezers that are not kept main living area.

Good Purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yes, I would recommend this Frigidaire 13 cu. ft. Frost Free Upright Freezer if you want one that has a smaller than normal foot print. It has been working very well in our garage without any issues for the past month. We were concerned at first when the freezer was first turned on because the sides were very hot to the touch, but once it reached the specified temperature the sides cooled down to the same ambient temperature of the garage. We are very happy with our purchase. I also like the green light that shows up on the floor when the freezer is turned on. It is "frost-free" so no defrosting involved and that is a big plus. We have the setting right in the middle, meaning not at the coldest setting and it stays at -10° which is more than enough (we put a thermometer on one of the shelves).

Noise & runs hot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I noticed the outside side panel gets hot. I realize it states on the manual this is normal but it gets hot compared to previous freezer I had which makes me concerned of the longevity. At times it gets a rather loud humming or hissing noise which I dis not hear om my previous freezer, I'm not sure if it is because it is a free freezer. Aside from these two, I am very pleased.
