Several manufacturers offer stacking washer dryer units; problem is in most cases the controls for the dryer are six feet or so in the air, because they are really designed to be side-by-side! Because this is a purpose-built unit one-piece, all the controls are conveniently positioned at counter height, and there are no middle joints to squeak. Further, no space is wasted so the drums are large. We opted for the 240 volt electric dryer for even temperature; a natural gas version is available as well.
One tip: the dryer vent exhaust is slightly inset, and you will need an adjustable elbow to direct the heat to wherever your building ductwork is located.

Review for laundry tower

When our old dryer broke, we were looking for a new dryer only. However, after seeing the quality of this washer and dryer tower for the price, we decided to go with both. The tower looks great, is user friendly, and works beautifully/

Laundry tower

I have only done 3 loads of laundry in it. It seems the washer is getting the clothes cleaner than my old washer. The dryer, however, does not get a normal load totally dry at the normal setting. Elastic waistbands, for instance, are still damp at the end of the cycle.

Instant love

This unit is same dimensions as our previous one piece stacked unit. Pros: it can wash much larger loads, saving water and electric; is not anywhere near as loud as our previous 2 units; It uses less water and the fast spin extracts more water reducing dry times 10 fold. Con: our top loaders gave space to fold our clothes, this unit cannot provide.

I love my new washer/dryer tower. For the past 5 years I have been using a portable washer hooked up to my bathroom sink and hanging my clothes outside on good days and inside on clothers bars on raining/cold days. This new tower is so convenient and washes and dries so quickly.

Stackable Convert

This washer/dryer combo is exactly what my laundry room needed. I was skeptical that I would like a stackable, but the amount of room they free up is incredible. The set is efficient and thorough - my clothes come out extra clean, but without all the extra time that my old washer required. I’m really pleased!
