We both like the new laundry tower. The controls are easy to use and the washer is quiet. This replaced a Maytag laundry tower, so we've had experience with this setup. It was alarming that the washer tub did not fill with water. I checked the manual, and in the troubleshooting it listed the tub not filling with water as a problem. The retailer sent a repairman the next day. He explained this washer is super efficient with water, you willl not see water in the tub. This should be explained better in the manual.
I purchase a stackable washer & dryer. I love how elegant it looks and easy to use. Very practical. And washes my clothes real good.

I recently replaced a stackable washer and dryer with the Electrolux wash tower. It fit in our laundry closet with room to spare. This basic model has all the functions I need. I especially like the fact that there are several area appliance repair companies that provide service for Electrolux appliances versus my last washer and dryer where I had to search for a service company when repairs were needed.
MAJOR DESIGN FLAW. Every other washer sold today has a little trap door on the bottom front of the machine, where you can access the washing machine filter. This is because pet hair, small beads, coins, and other things that clog the drain hose are captured in that little cylinder & could stop drainage. This filter should be cleaned out by *YOU* 1-4x a year. IT IS A MAJOR DESIGN FLAW THAT THIS FILTER IS LOCATED AT THE BACK OF THE UNIT AND CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED BY A SERVICEMAN ($$$).

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We understand your frustration regarding the location of the washing machine filter, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to express your thoughts.
The filter placement at the back of the unit is indeed a different approach compared to the more traditional front-access design. This design is intended to optimize space, efficiency, and water drainage in a way that supports the overall structure of the unit. However, we do recognize that it may not be as convenient for routine maintenance as front-access filters, which can be cleaned by homeowners more easily.
While this unit may require professional assistance to access the filter for cleaning, we recommend having it checked out during regular service visits, especially if you're noticing issues with drainage or performance. We understand that this might not be ideal for all users, and we're always open to feedback to improve future designs.

So far so good. The proof will be in the pudding with longevity. Hopefully this will last for some time! I have heard a squeal from the dryer on one of our loads. Probably the 6th time of use. Concerning! The detergent drawer has much more water remaining in it after a load is complete. Also concerning. If we did a load and did not remove the drawer and shake it out, wouldn't you think that the water remaining would grow mold if the washer was not used for a while (say we went on vacation).

Thank you for your feedback! It's great to hear things are going well so far. We understand your concerns about the squealing noise from the dryer and the water remaining in the detergent drawer. A small amount of water can be normal, but if left standing, especially during long periods of inactivity like vacations, it could lead to mold growth. Leaving the drawer and washer door slightly open can help with air circulation and prevent this.

The machine is pretty spacious and has a lot of options for wash cycles which is what I was looking for. It does leak water on the floor after every wash cycle.
