The ROG XG Mobile (2025) is a game-changer for my ASUS Zenbook DUO (2024), instantly eliminating the integrated graphics bottleneck and delivering truly desktop-class performance in a remarkably portable package with excellent connectivity. While the sleek design is a huge plus, the unit needs two critical improvements: first, a dedicated carry case to prevent scratches during transport, and second, a physical power switch to avoid having to unplug it completely when not in use. I would also greatly appreciate an official ASUS tutorial detailing how to fully optimize gaming performance with the Thunderbolt 4 or 5 connection.

Plug and play setup that only required a nvidia driver download (Asus Rog Ally Xbox X). Massive FPS gain despite thunderbolt 4 bottleneck. 2K-4K gaming on AAA titles with 60+ FPS. Only downside is the eGPU usb c connecting cord is very sensitive to data loss if even slightly bumped. Overall incredibly happy with this setup which is great for travelers who want convert their handheld experience into a gaming desktop on the go (hotel).

This thing is freaking amazing. Plug and play with the ROG Ally X and keeps my frames up. If you're looking for 4k gaming this thing can do it but runs way better at 1440 and takes it to the max for 1080. Budget Ballers unite!
