Braun series 9 pro+

I am using the 1 star only to attract attention to a problem that seems to be frequently reported regarding the replacement heads performing very poorly. I have been using Braun razors for decades going back to the 7 and upgraded to the 9 8 years ago. I have ove a dozen friends who have purchased the 9 series and are absolutely ecstatic ove the perfomance and quality of shave. About a year ago after replacing the head I was within a matter of days experiencing very poor and uncomfortable shave. After a month I purchased another replacement followec by another to no avail. I have seen numerous complaints regarding the quality of the replacement parts and I was beginning to fall in that category. Recently a good friend wholm I recommended the Braun even thought I had been experiencing issues purchased a Series 9 pro+ and while we were on a trip out of curiosity I exchanged his razor's head to mine and vice versa. The problem became immediately evident since my relatively new shavie head performed perfectly on his new series 9 and his poorly on my old 9. Mine was much louder and pressing the side of mine with a little pressure eased much of the noise and vibaratioon. Again min is over 8 years old and even though well cleaned and maintained I use it daily for my entire face and head and occasionaly twice a day, so obviously a great deal of use. I just purchased a new Series 9 pro+ which works flawlessly and just as a test I exchanged heads from my old razor to the new and lo and behold no noise, vibration and also works flawlessly. The old head is only two week old and was very uncomfortable to use and on the new razor no issues at all. After viewing so many negative reviews including one I wrote myself it might be worth considering a total replacement depending on the age of your unit. Hope this might be helpful to those encountering these types of issues.

Have had it for a year and ALWAYS have to "finish" my shave with an old fashioned metal razor. I just won't shave close like it says it will.
Anybody want it?

You should always finish your shaving session when using our 9599cc, David. Please trust us that this isn't what we expect, especially with our quality checks and the German Engineering that we use. If you aren't doing so already, taut the skin, hold your shaver at a right angle, and shave against the grain. Be sure the device is cleaned using the cleaning and charge station too as this help lubricate it, increasing its cutting ability. Why Can't I Get A Great Shave?

I purchased this shaver 1 1/2 years ago, and have yet to get a close, decent shave.
I recently replaced the shaving head, yet I have to go over and over my cheeks--and even then, I still have stubble and beard hair that the shaver missed! This is not what I expected from a shaver which cost more than my first car!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Shave! Terrible Trimming! Poor quality

Tried the new Series 9 Sport+ for 3 weeks. Very good shaving. But- The new much smaller trimmer was useless! Couldn't Trim my mustache, beard or sideburns- at all. Also the new cleaning module has no drier so the razor comes out wet and coated with solution. has to be wiped off and blown dry with a can of air. Got a Refund from the store I purchased it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Shaver is ok but blades don't last

I bought this when my other two series 7 shavers heads where never available to purchase. I bought this near christmas 2025 and the blade cuts very little of my face and it's only 7 months after I bought it new. I do use the cleaning station with genuine braun cartridges and it still is dull. Now they want me to pay for new heads twice a year, this is unacceptable.

This is a “first impressions” review. The shaver is first rate and is actually a replacement for a Series 5 razor. One negative thing - the charging cord material really needs an “upgrade. It is so bad I’ve already ordered a replacement hoping the next one will be a little more flexible and not so janky. I’m looking forward to many close shaves with the 9 pro!
