I am happy with the ink system in this printer. There are a couple of things I don’t like better than my old printer. 1. Having to print with HP Smart print is not always easy. On my old HP I could just select print from a doc for example. Don’t seem to be able to do that now - have to save the document first.
2. The first page takes ages to get to print.
3. It doesn’t have the option to print double-sided. Such a waste of paper. Obviously I should have read the full spec more carefully but this is the thing that makes this printer “average” for me. Wish I had spent more for the next model up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had the instant ink printer but decided I wanted a new one as the previous one kept paper jamming and creased the paper. So far the new one is working well even if this has taken me some time to get all my Apple machines connected.
So far it has been troublesome having to reset it on several occasions. I’ll see how it goes but if it continues to play up I’ll be looking to swap it out.
Purchased about a month ago and printed a number of different documents which have been clear and readable- it does what it says on the tin. Slower than my last printer but does a fine job.
I love the printer but I bought it to print my own Christmas cards which it did extremely well but almost every one had black ink lines on the back which of course would be the inside of the card so couldn't use them, I have tried all the tricks like nozzle clean etc but they are still there.
