I just got mine and it’s very niceKinda reminds me of a ps4 controller, with the layout.Adjustable grips is super nice, give you more of a grip and comfort.Removable also, these guys definitely did their best on this project
My Galaxy S24+ phone is very powerful, capable of running many of my favorite games. This MCON Controller will allow my phone which is already ALWAYS in my pocket to be paired with a controller very stylishly and conveniently. With emulators of any old console (like literally any) up to PS4 & even Switch if you can manage, increasing App Store ports of actual games (not gachaslop) library, and lastly the future of Steam Games coming to Android (I hear its happening soon, plus GameHub Lite already exists)... The modern Android phone is basically a console that can play a huge chunk of your library. The MCON will solve the only problem holding back Mobile Gaming, the pocketability of the controller. Nobody wants to bring around a big Xbox controller or awkwardly set up the controllers that grip the phone in public. Switchblading out with the MCON isnt only iconic, but it also solves the pocketability. The fact that it switches to sleep mode when its closed is brilliant. No pressing a power button to waste time. Switchblade it and then it turns itself on, that's just fast and fun. My favorite feature besides the pocketability right there. Switching devices at the press of a button (3 devices i think?) is also a huge feature. Slap the MCON on your friend's phone or switch over to your laptop easily. Sooo nice. My main concern is the ergonomics, but even there I think the MCON still shines. With a small form factor you'd usually expect less, but the MCON gives you grips anyway. Havent yet felt them myself, but the fact they thought of it is more than I'd expect from such a small device. I'm sure I'll adapt to how it feels to hold when I play Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix English Patch on my PS2 Emulator. If this isn't revolutionary then i dont know what is.People love handhelds like the DS or Switch or SteamDeck, this truly fixes why a phone didn't feel like a handheld already... REAL CONTROLS, NO MORE TOUCHSCREEN! Actually portable too. It's what we needed and I'm so excited so support this brilliant idea!
I support the idea I’ve been waiting for a handheld device like this for so long. As a game developer who just recently graduated collage I plan on releasing my platformer game for mobile and Having a handheld device like this would sure help a lot with development
