Since I backed it, saw the updates, the progress. After finally getting my hands on it, I just can't get my jaw off the floor. It's quality is undescribable, how it feels int eh hands, the addictiveness of the button to launch the back stand up to reveal the controller ((send help it's bad! I can't stop!)) even playing with it for a few games is just.. amazing. And this was with some experimentation with steam link and some mobile game. And this is coming from someone who's very picky about their controllers. You will not be disappointed. It's worth every penny.

Bringing the Dream To Life

I've long hoped for a mobile controller that folds up in such a way to protect the buttons and sticks but still has the form factor reminiscent of an Xbox controller. The MCON is pretty darn close to the dream I had, and I'm really glad it's real now! The recessed thumbsticks are going to take some getting used to, but the grips, buttons, and triggers are all that I hoped for. 10/10 would recommend!

Every bit of functionality and sleek portability is worth the compromise it needs to make in terms of size. Looking forward to the possibly of purchasing new buttons and other mods. Also, dreaming of an app that allows button mapping customization (not every game has keybinds unfortunately).

Xbox layout please

Looks good, but the layout for joysticks is too close to each other for a small handheld. As a guy with big hands, please also make a Xbox layout for this.

Phantom button presses out of the box.

TLDR: product had a defect out of the box, and there seems to be no way to make a warranty claim right now.I got my Mcon 5 days ago and have barely had time to use it, but when I finally got some time to play with it, I noticed very quickly that something was wrong. When playing iPhone games, it frequently sends phantom LT signals, often spamming it in bursts. For games like Stardew, this means I can never stay selected on the item I need. And with Cult of the Lamb, LT straight up pause the game, so it is completely unplayable. I have tried to go through the warranty process with OhSnap, but they eventually take you to a section where you have to select the product that is defective, and the Mcon is not listed. So as far as I can tell, there is effectively no way to submit a warranty claim right now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great “little” controller

Bought from kickstarter campaign - TLDR it’s good, a bit small for my hands, but feels great to use so far. I have been waiting to get my hands on this thing for quite some time since the kickstarter was going, and now that I have it, it’s actually better than I thought. Being a kickstarter, I usually don’t expect much, but with all the love I saw the creator put into this, I figured it would be good. So far I’ve played Destiny Rising for a little and then Sky. Sky work beautifully, Destiny Rising felt a little too stiff on first play but I haven’t played with a controller in years so could be one of two things, the controls don’t match well with that game or, my hands are too big, and I think the latter is mostly the issue. I have above average hands. Like XL gloves is Ok but 2X is really comfortable. That being said, if you have big hands, it’s still worth it IMO, but hopefully (Please Oh Snap Please!) they make an XL version for the paddle handed people who can’t use small phones. Back to the design - it’s awesome! I love the translucence on the clear controller. The light colors pop very well when turned on, I do wish it had backlit buttons but that’s a luxury feature, also being able to use it and charge would be a nice next iteration. The soft touch on the MagSafe feels really good and premium and so does the metal on the flick screen. The fold out handle is so clutch for anyone to have and use. Overall, I give this a 4/5 for being such a great product off the bat. To reiterate, my only real issue is how small it it, though it was made to be so people can pocket it, but keep a sling with me almost always so having something a bit bigger with some more features would be great to match my iPhone Pro Max. I’d by it again just for that size. But good job team. I cannot attest to long term quality as I’ve just received it, but if anything happens I will leave another review.

Absolutely love my MCON and what it does. Connects easy. Is extremely pocketable. Stays charged for long gaming sessions. Feels good in hand. The only complaint I have. The bottom of the shoulder buttons are super sharp and dig extremely uncomfortably into your fingers when holding.
