Everything I love in a portable controller. I mostly play emulators but this thing could easily pull off FPS like COD mobile. My wife fell in love with it and ended up buying her own

My PSP Go ❤️

I've been waiting for this device for a long time. I’ve been a video game lover since I was a kid and always wanted a PSP Go, but at the time, I never had the chance to get one due to money constraints. However, now as an adult, thanks to the MCON, I can finally get the feeling of playing on a PSP Go because I use the controller with my Samsung Galaxy S25—and it fits perfectly. I love this controller; you can really see the engineering that went into building it. Thank you, ohsnap!

THE controller. sometimes it does struggle to eject but holding it horizontally helps this, plus if the eject was any stronger the top plate would probably be flying across the room so not really their fault. other than that i really like this controller. 5/5 stars!

Handheld Portable Gaming Finally Evolves
on March 30, 2026

The MCON has finally filled the hole in the Handheld market that began with the 3G Vita being cut off from phone & texting services in 2016. Since then, there has really been no option for pocket sized AAA gaming on a device that functioned both as a Phone and a Handheld. Now, with the MCON, any iPhone or Android can be turned into a fantastic all in one gaming, computing, and communications device. In fact, after spending time with it, I actually prefer this to the dedicated handhelds in the past. For a long time I wanted another phone with integrated controls. Now I don't think that is necessary any longer. The MCON actually offers a more ergonomic and comfortable experience than a traditional handheld. With the screen elevated, it allows your arms to sit naturally, and keeps you from looking down putting strain on your neck. With the extendable grips, it eliminates the cramping that plagued the PSP, Vita, and Switch. The button layout is fantastic, with very good sticks, and triggers, giving it the feel of a full size gamepad. That said, there is room for improvement. I have had regular connection issues with the PlayStation connection. I had to switch back to the default Xbox connection, which has been far more stable. Hopefully this will be addressed in a future firmware update, once the MCON App drops later this year.On a hardware level, a cleaner MagSafe solution for iPhones like was shown at CES 2026 would be amazing to see for the full size MCON. This would help slim things down even more, and ensure the controller is aligned properly every time. Making it feel like an official accessory would be the ultimate end game in this department.Honestly, those are my only to gripes. For now, this thing has me playing Death Stranding, Wreckfest, Resident Evil, Grid Legends, Red Dead Redemption, and so much more. For the first time in a decade, I am excited for the future of Handheld gaming. It turns out, we didn't need a new handheld, we just needed a proper controller to turn the Smartphone we already have, into the best Handheld ever made!

Great idea, could be better

First, I want to say this is a very clever controller. A lot of thought clearly went into making it. I love the flip-out design. Having the controls beneath the phone as opposed to the sides feels much better in my opinion. It being MagSafe makes it such an easy controller to pick up and play, and being able to detach the top and the sliding mechanism doubling as a kickstand is so smart. Also, the buttons and the sticks feel great, especially for a compact mobile controller. The d-pad reminds me of the d-pad on the Game Boy Advance SP, which is awesome. There are a few things that keep this controller from being perfect. First, it was clearly made with a standard iPhone size in mind. I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max, and it is a little bit awkwardly sized for it. It would be great if they made a larger model for larger phones. The compactness of the controller also comes with some sacrifices. I have pretty small hands, but even my hands feel a little bit cramped on this controller. The flip-out handles are supposed to help with that a bit, and it is a clever idea, but I find them pretty uncomfortable to use after a short while, as they stick into my palms. Then there is the small issue with the triggers and shoulder buttons. They work fine, but are really quite small, and it is really easy to accidentally press both of them at the same time. I also feel like the triggers are a little bit too loose and can be accidentally pressed just by resting your fingers on them. Another con of this controller is that it was marketed as something you keep on your phone and is pocketable. That's not really true. At least not comfortably and without having a bulge sticking out of your pants, assuming you have pockets large enough. Especially if you also have the OhSnap phone grip attached to your phone as well. Which is something I usually feel like I need to take off when I use this controller because it feels less secure than just using your phone's MagSafe. But it is a compact controller that could maybe fit in another pocket or throw into a bag without worrying about it getting damaged. A small nitpick that I have is that I wish the sliding mechanism would go just a tiny bit further above the controller. Overall, a really neat idea, and I hope they continue to iterate on this product.

Although it doesn't work with call of duty mobile, or delta force on my pc, it still works with rainbow six mobile, and rainbow six siege on my pc. It also works with most games on my phone and a lot on my steam library. It really has great tuning with the joysticks and buttons, and weight is great to. Especially with the pull down handles on the back. Also, the magnet is super strong and will hold phone in place very well. It plays like a dream. Over all, it's a great product and I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase. Can't wait to get the rest of the bundle.

When I found the MCON, I was extremely excited. It checked all the boxes for me on portability and function. Unfortunately, due to the design, it just hurts to use.The screen (phone) is way too top-heavy, and because of the layout, reaching the top bumpers feels awkward and inconsistent. After even short sessions, it becomes uncomfortable, which defeats the purpose of a portable setup.I'd still recommend it for people would want a nice dual purpose controller, but for me, I'll have to wait for new revisions.
