Quiet but bright

Just in the first two weeks of use. I found the daylight alarm feature unusable due to the initial brightness even tho set at the lowest setting. Airfilter function seems good.

Nice, but USB C port is too small

Overall, the purifier is nice - however, the pass through USB C port is too tight to fit standard USB C cables - both Apple and Anker cables do not fit, which essentially makes the port unusable.

It is the best

The most well reviewed sunrise clock according to Wirecutter does not mention this one, but it should, and it should mention it as the best. It has the right amount of lumens, and a good choice of sounds. The time it takes to brighten can be set anywhere from 15-30 minutes duration. I use birds and 15. In the dead of winter it is making a huge difference to my ability to wake up and NOT HIT SNOOZE. It is also making it possible for me to keep my phone not near me for "alarm purposes" (and also for late night wordle breaks and doom scrolling). One thing though: if you sleep with another person in room you kind of need buy-in because they may be able to sleep through your alarm but not through your sunrise (for me I'm switching out nightables to keep the sunrise clock air purifer below the top level of our shared mattress with the edge of the nightable covering the top of the sunrise clock; this seems to keep the light more focused on my side of the bed and away from my partner.

Does Not Promote Good Sleep Habits
on December 13, 2025

Requires an app to use it. Clearly not designed with good sleep habits in mind when not having devices in the bedroom is one of the top recommendations for optimal sleep. Sent it back immediately!

Great unit, but not right for us

Great unit if you have space on your nightstand for the height of it, but the clock on top isn’t very useful since you have to sit up and look at the top of the unit to see it. It’s higher up than it appears in the website images—but I’m also short. Haha. Also, it would be much better if all display lights could be turned off at night—the glow is distracting if you prefer a dark room. A more visible clock placement or a ceiling projection option (with adjustable brightness or fully off) would improve usability. I also wish the unit had an auto-sensing mode instead along with manual control vs only manual control so I’d know the product is sensing the air quality for me. Overall, it’s a solid product, just not the right fit for us, though these updates could really enhance the user experience.

Thanks for sharing such thoughtful feedback about your Mini Restful Sunrise Clock Air Purifier. We’re glad to hear you’ve found it to be a solid unit, and we appreciate the detail you provided about clock visibility, nighttime brightness, and the desire for an auto-sensing mode. We’re currently working on an update that will allow the display to dim fully, which we hope will improve the experience. We’ve reached out directly if you’d like to discuss your experience further.

If you like a night light in your bedroom....

This is a great idea but poor execution. There is no way to turn off the display, and even at the lowest setting, it is super bright and lights up your bedroom. The app was fine, but no dark mode, so if you want to turn off your light, you either have to look at the top of the machine to hit the right touch button, or look a a bright phone screen right before bed. I returned it and got the mini max to use in conjunction with a separate wakeup alarm light. I was hoping for a 2 in one solution to reduce clutter, but this isn't it.

Something that is advertised as helping with sleep should not have a digital display that cannot be turned off.

Thank you for sharing your feedback on the Mini Restful Sunrise Clock Air Purifier. We’ve reviewed your concern and can confirm that the display currently dims to about 10% of its brightness at the lowest setting. We know how valuable complete darkness can be for quality sleep, and we’re actively working with our product team to explore improvements for future updates. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
