Used to be a quality product - terrible quality!

Imagine my surprise when I purchased a package of Vanity Fair napkins, 100ct. It has been a while, since I purchased during COVID a huge quantity of the Vanity Fair Dinner Style and they have just ran out. But the Everyday product, which used to be of good quality, suddenly I find this wimpy napkin, and even the designs on the edges was not of the good standards from the past. I had to purchase another brand, since the Vanity Fair were of very poor quality, I would be embrrassed to have them used at a dinner party.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Years ago, pre-pandemic, VF was a premium product: thick, strong, absorbent, and soft. Now they are as thin as single ply, harsh to the hand, and fall apart as soon as they get wet or used in any way. As with so many US manufacturers, GP has taken advantage of pandemic economic conditions to lower quality while raising prices.

Vanity Fair Everyday Napkins

My family has used Vanity Fair Everyday napkins for as long as I can remember. Always absorbent, and enjoyed by all family members. However, their latest production of this product leaves much to be desired. Their new Everyday napkins are about as thick as Kleenex tissue. They have become just about useless at meal time. Fortunately, they have substantially raised the price to make up for the inconvenience of using their napkins. Bye bye Vanity Fair. We will no longer be purchasing your ultra thin product.

Terribly disappointing :(

A total shame. I realize it sounds silly to be so devoted to a napkin but here I am. The vanity fair everyday napkin has be in my life at every meal for 63 years. I’m in shock right now. The quality is below poor. Not even worth one star. What is happening?? So very sad about this.

I have been buying your napkins for years and would always swear by them. All of a sudden they are considerably thinner. My husband asked if I had given him a tissue instead of a napkin?? What happened to your dependable quality?

What has happened to your everyday napkins, they are thinner, the embossed shells is hardly visible. I have been using these many many years and the last packages I purchased are awful. Guess I’ll have to find a replacement.
