I'm not a huge Starbucks fan to begin with but this isn't bad but it's not that much better to justify the price; if the cost came down I'd keep a box on hand. For now I'll stick with cheaper alternatives. I must say that it is less watery feeling than others, the k-cup seems to have a larger filter with more grounds in it than some other brands.
Pros: Attractive Mouthfeel/Body, Balanced Acidity
Cons: Over roasted, Cost
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I never wanted to pay the difference for a Starbuck, telling myself that why sell more than anyone else. But I have to admit, they do have exeptional coffee. But can't afford to always buy Starbuck For me it's like always buying a 20-25 dollar bottle of wine. Once in a while.
While not a bad coffee, I was expecting more from this. Tried about a dozen pods.
Pros: Smooth Taste, Not Bitter, Pleasing Aroma, Balanced Acidity
Cons: Not Enough Flavor

Mixed Feelings

I first reviewed this coffee and gave it one star because I was so disappointed in it. ( I don't see my review listed so I am rewritting and reassessing based on further use.) While it is still disappointing for a number of reasons, it does give a hint of the familiar Starbucks flavor and aroma so I am giving it 3 stars based on that. However you get so little coffee for the buck, I still advise going to Starbucks because you will get way more coffee for your money and the taste is by far richer and bolder. I brew on 8 oz and that is weak to me. 6 oz is o.k. but there is so little coffee why bother. If you want to use this coffee to satisfy a taste for Starbucks in a pinch, then this is good for that. But if you want real robust, piping hot,and a decent amount of coffee, this is not the answer.
Pros: Pleasing Aroma
Cons: Thin Or Watery Mouthfeel/Body
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great morning brew

I love dark, strong coffees but I am not a huge fan of Starbucks from the store. They brew it too strong (even for me!) and it tastes burnt and bitter. Lots of cream and 10 sugars later make it palatable. However, I love this kcup! Since I can control the cup size and therefore the strength of the coffee, it comes out perfect every time. This is my morning go-to brew and it doesn't last in the house for very long. Caribou's Obsidian used to be my favorite but Pike's has taken it's place!
