Do not buy this tape!!!

I recently purchased this tape believing that it was the best tape to use to protect my surfaces from stray paintbrush strokes. I was horrified when I removed the tape to see that it had ripped off the top layer of my cabinets, as well as the ceiling paint! Now I have to repaint the ceiling, minus the tape, so it doesn't rip off the recent paint on the wall! This tape should come with some big warnings!!! I would have been better off free handing it. Very disappointing!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, AirForceWife, thank you for leaving your review and giving us the opportunity to help. The ScotchBlue(TM) Painter's Tape #2093 is designed for use on painted surfaces in which the paint has been allowed to cure for 30 days or more. Once applied, it will remove cleanly from the surface for up to 14 days. For delicate surfaces such as applications involving laminate, we recommend our ScotchBlue(TM) Painter's Tape for Delicate Surfaces #2080, which has a lower level of adhesion. We appreciate being in touch with you directly to help resolve this for you. Thanks.
Thank you for the opportunity to review your product. I found that the Scotch Blue Advanced Multi-Surface painters tape to work very well. It saves time and mistakes compared to other brands. The line of the paint was perfect after the tape is removed. The tape removed easily without leaving a sticky mess. I would recommend this product!
We recently painted our home & let me tell you. The painters tape DID NOT PULL THE PAINT OFF!!. Unlike some other brands that has done this to us in the past. I was extremely nervous when it came time to remove the tape due to past experiences. Perfecto, wonderful, amazing. I even used it to paint panels on the walls. Again, it was awesome. All I can say is THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU
I have been painting various projects from house's - exterior and interior, furniture etc... anything to do with a home for 40 plus years. This tape beats the other "Green Stuff" hand down, preventing bleed through and easibility of the tape removal after-
You team has hit a Home Run with me, the only tape I need to buy!
I was really disappointed in this product. My daughter and I used it in our kitchen. It bled through on my cupboards. In other areas, when I took the tape off a day later, it took paint up with it in several areas. Now, I have to paint both my cupboards and my walls. Unfortunately, I don't have the money so I've had to live with this kitchen for several months. Super disappointing!!!
I have never taken the time to write a review about any product. Who knew it would be about painter's tape? I do original cutout paintings, in other words, I cut out logos, people, anything and paint them as large wall hangings to take the place of boring framed art (Granam Graphics on Facebook.) I began using your ScotchBlue painter's tape about 3 months ago and it has made painting my cutouts much easier. My clients are extremely impressed with the clean lines of my art and my peers want to know my secrets of my detailed work. As for telling them my secrets, I can't bring myself to telling them just yet. BTW, dates in pictures are incorrect due to inability to change them on my digital camera. Thank you for your great product! Thanks, Michael Granam Owner of Granam Graphics 386-503-4275
The orange logo/writing now appearing on the blue painter's tape runs when the tape is wiped with a solvent or alcohol. The wiping cloth becomes contaminated with orange ink, which in turn contaminates the surface to be painted or varnished. The manufacturer should stop applying this orange logo/writing, and stop trying to use the tape as an advertising medium. The tape itself is fine... the orange advertising on it has got to go!
