This open topped file was an improvement over the previously purchased file which had a flap attached making it difficult to file easily. The open top design works better but I wish it had a flat bottom enabling it to stand on its own.

My son was not happy with having to get in and out of his binder (the rings just didn't want to stay closed) and with having to open and closed it several times a day he was getting increasingly annoyed. After speaking with a teacher it was suggested that we try a multi-slot portfolio where he can drop his notes into the slot and go. We loved the fact that this style has a 1" section in the front where his "Pee Chee" folders can stay for each class he uses one side as the "Come Home" and the other as the "Turn In" sides so his homework is easier to manage.
