I bought a new Asus Computer —Tower only. The PC tower did not have a VGA port, only HDMI port. My old (17 inch, Dell) monitor is about 12 years old and requires a VGA port. Unfortunately, this VGA/HDMI adapter did not work with it. So, I tried the adapter on my other VGA (19 inch, Gem) monitor which is about 10 years old; It worked. It has been a month and the adapter seems work well with my VGA monitor and new PC computer.
