From the first day last week that I bought this it has lost time...a lot. I have tried different brand new AA batteries. I lost the receipt and can't return it so I'm out about 14 bucks.

Nicer than Expected

We needed three clocks in our main office boardroom showing the timezones that our other offices are in. I initially suggested fancier looking clocks to better match the boardroom decor but was denied the extra (4x) expense instead ordering these clocks. I expected them to be very cheap looking flimsy and lightweight but was happy to find that they have a very solid feel and are actually quite clean looking. They are obviously simple looking but have been perfect for our application. It was easy to synchronize the second hands by inserting/removing the batteries and since mounting them they have stayed in very good sync. I'm surprised and impressed with them!

I've been looking for a quiet clock and have tried about 8 of them from different stores. The reviews on a few stated very quiet...NOT. I was beginning to think that users who wrote that can't hear well. Desperate I ordered this one because of the reviews that said it is "quiet." I also ordered one that will arrive on 12-6. In the meantime I got this one today and low and behold to my amazement it is very very quiet. One has to have silence in the room stand right by it and even then you'll only hear it faintly. I'm so surprised. The one that's due to arrive 12-6 will only be kept if it is as quiet only because it's a nice Seiko and looks classier. We'll see. If it isn't I'm keeping this one and sending that one back. If you don't mind basic looking and want quiet this is it.

Why the Staples logo?

I did not like seeing the Staples logo on the face. Did not notice this until I went to hang it. Had I seen it I would not have bought it.
