I've had this chair mat for a few days now and am using it on 3/8" Berber carpet which is what it's designed for. With my standard 5 caster office chair the wheels sink down into the plastic creating indentations. This makes the chair hard to roll around in as you have to get out of the wheel holes first. I'm not sure of this will affect the life of the mat. I expected it to be a bit sturdier. BTW I'm a 160 lb guy. Not a heavyweight.

I received my order within 2 days. It fit perfectly to cover a worn spot in the carpet so the chair no longer catches on it to make it worse! Wish I had thought of this sooner. Well worth the money.

The Carpet Chair Mat was a good size for my Desk . I doesn't like its shiny surface and too small spikes on the bottom. It is sometimes displaced along the carpet due to poor adhesion to it.

This carpet mat is too soft in comparison to the next level up. We have the next level up as well and the plastic is much more durable / firmer and does not allow the chair to dig into the mat like this one does. This mat would be good for industrial carpets which don't have much movement since this mat is too soft not firm enough.

This mat replaced a previous one I had had for over 10 years. It is thick enough yet flexible enough to allow my chair to move around smoothly. Though I think because my carpet is a little too thick my chair does sink in after I’ve been working for hours and I have to force it out of the dips in the mat. However it serves its purpose and was exactly what I wanted.
