The mat is satisfactory. However the thickness is insufficient to prevent chair wheel depressions in the mat after sitting too long before moving the chair.
I'm not completely satisfied with the chair mat as it is too short for the depth of my desk. The wheels leave deep gooves in the mat that I have to "oomp" to get it out. It also does not stay flat on the edges so I'm constantly kicking it. I've always wanted one but now I regret getting it. Sorry!!
This is shipped folded. Instructions state "allow to come to room temp for 24 hours before attempting to unfold so that it does not crack." Let's say 72 hours and then getting so frustrated that there was no change so that one must forcibly use a series of increasing weights to eventually flatten the mat. This solution was perfect because it is not as if anyone has to work a full-time job -- really just focus on chair mat flattening. Works now but requires a lot of patience a sense of humor and a good demeanor. Would recommend for an office pool. Buy two mats. Set an over/under on amount of hours needed to flatten with assistance and without. Great distraction. Can use Zoom to measure for those of you that are still working remotely.
Bought this chair mat to replace mat that had eorn through after 25 years. I am very pleased at the price I paid and the thickness and construction is very high quality! One recommendation......When I was in the store at the hanging display of the chair mats the display was empty. I was leaving the store to shop elsewhere when I asked an associate when they would get more. There was "side stock" of about 50 mats! Store personnel should keep display full.....almost went elsewhere to buy mat.
