Ideally a thicker pad would be better The carpet and pad are at least 1/2 inch thick but so far this pad is working. The question is how long will it last?

I do want to tell you about my wonderful salesman’....he went and got it for me since itt wasn’t on display carried it up front for me and refused to let me carry it outside to my car. I’m afraid I don’t remember his name but the young man at the register told me ‘oh he does everything around here ..he’s great we all know him” when I asked his name (and then forgot it). I’ve always had good service at that location>>!!

It works but it's not the best for my carpet. The wheels create dents in the mat that make the chair a little tougher to move. Still beats trying to roll the chair on carpet.

I have had issues with cheaper mats and my chair wheels digging pits into them specifically bought this to avoid that and I'm ready to throw it in the trash after using from New Years to mid-April. It gets a lot of use but I weigh 185lbs would think that it could handle an average-ish weight but nope.

Good chair mat for my medium pile carpet. I move a lot between 2 computer systems and this mat makes for smooth chair rolling. Not sure about long term durability but so far so good.
