The chair mat works well in my computer room. It was shipped flat which worked for me. No unrolling and waiting for it to flatten out. I could use right away. Seems thick enough I have low pile carpeting and it stays in place. Had it for a few weeks- no cracks very light indents from chair roller legs. Just what I needed for home use.

I thought I had bought the right one for our carpet but found out our carpet is thick and plush and this chair mat sinks down into the carpet when sitting and then has dips to try to roll out of.

Protects the carpet but the chair wheels sink into the mat making indentations in the mat that make it hard to roll around freely.

Previous chair mat was perhaps hard plastic and cracked under pressure of chair wheels. New mat is more rubberized and has some flexibility which should allow it to last longer.
