Was purchased because other mat cracked. Not good enough construction. Chair seems to make indents and then doesn't glide. Would not recommend purchasing.

Plush rug mat for desk chair

I use the plastic mat under my desk chair in my home office. The mat is not very thick which results in the chair wheels causing dents when I sit still for awhile. When that happens it is difficult to roll out of the dents. Trying to roll out of the dents without getting up from my chair results in the mat sliding on the carpet. This mat might work better on thinner carpet although it does require some nap. Flat carpet (no nap) or no carpet would not be good for this mat. It has teeth and needs to sink into something. I thought that 'plush' meant either heavy duty or for thick carpet. 'Plush' has turned out to be misleading.

Purchased this mat for my home office. Between my husband and I it received average use though not as much as a full time job. It was terrific when it first arrived but fell apart within the year. I would find pieces of hard plastic all over the floor as it broke away. I would have loved it if it had better lasting power. The grips on the bottom were also very sharp and I hurt myself more than once trying to shift the mat under the desk. Ouch!

Dangerous: Very slippery on hardwood.

Slides readily on hardwood floor to the point of making it a hazard. Have tried double sided tape to hold it in place but did not help much. Used one under the refrigerator in a kitchen with hardwood floors. Does a great job of protection against floor damage from refrigerator wheels and occasional food splits.

the office chair glides easily over the mat. I like the transparity of the product. The carpet is clearly visable through it. Wish it was a little thicker.

We are using the mat in a machine shop office area which gets high traffic and this holds up well.
