This product was a great value for the price and quality. When I received the coupons for this product and was looking at purchasing paper because of my childrens school reports this came in at a great time. A great ream!

For a great reaming look no further than The Staples® 8 1/2" x 11" Multipurpose Paper Ream. This package of 500 identically sized sheets of white paper fit perfectly in most printers though I had a little difficulty with my 1980's C. Itoh Gorilla Banana I use with my TRS-80 computer. Aside from the obvious use of soaking up ink and toner this paper can be used to make crude airplanes hats masks doilies and signs you can nail on lamp posts inquiring about your missing pet (or the parent who has recently gone off their medication and thanks to law and nosy neighbors is no longer safely shackled in the basement). The packaging for Staples® 8 1/2" x 11" Multipurpose Paper Ream is effective without being over complex to open (though may result in an occasional paper cut - I recommend finding a YouTube video demonstrating the proper technique in matter such as this). Rather than throw out this packaging you can unfold it and use it as a place-mat for children ball it up and invent your own games or to use as kindling to help start a fire like the one at my nosy neighbors house...notice I said "like"...because I certainly had nothing to do with that!
