This paper having a rough side and a smooth side is fine for straight printing but for duplex it fails miserably with paper sticking together and causing the various problems that you can imagine the wrong pages to be copied back to back etc.
The multipurpose Staples paper is by far my favorite paper for printing and copying. It "plays well" with all our printers and copiers. No jamming or catching in the machines.
We exclusively use this paper in our office and for all documents we provide to our tax clients.. We like it because it is 96 White which is a brighter better looking paper than the standard Staples 'red box' 92 white paper. Our only issue is that the whiteness is not consistent from case to case. I assume it all meets 96 white standards but some boxes are simply whiter/brighter than others! Different manufacturers?
I don’t use this paper for anything super professional. It works great for what I need it for. It’s mostly used for making copies in an office situation. It’s much cheaper than the name brand and works great.
