This chair mat was the only one available and is not nearly as substantial as one I purchased a few years age. The mat is on low pile carpet and Imprints from my desk chair are clearly visible. I do not recommend this mat.

I would not buy this product in the future. The plastic starts to indent where the wheels of your chair are and thus create molded indentations that the chair gravitates to. I needed a pad that would NOT do this. I'm going glass next time.

They don't make these like they used to. I have one from a box store and it's still in use on the same carpet with the same chair that this mat is used with. But the other one has been going for 5 years strong with dents but no cracks. This one is 6 months old and has already cracked
