[...].Using on light industrial carpet with pad. At [$] each (purchased two) thought they would be thicker and more resilient. Chair wheels cause depression in mat.
My tile floor was getting scratched from the desk chair till I put this mat on the floor. It protects the tile is easy to clean and makes my chair roll easily.
OMG. This is the best thing ever. I have purchased other mats that have come apart. This one is about 3 months old and it has not moved nor does it show any wear.
I would've gone for the more heavy duty chair mat but I didn't want to pay over $70 bucks for one so I opted for this one. It gets the job done as far as protecting your carpet. However if you plan on being at our desk quite a bit I would go for the heavy duty ones. After sitting in the chair for 5 minutes the wheels of the chair start to make an indention which prevents smooth rolling. You kind of have to sit up a bit just to move the chair. It doesn't do what I purchased it for which was to be able to roll around with ease however it does stay in place when you actually are trying to force your chair to move. I'm only 4'11" and the indention into the mat from my small frame is annoying enough. Imagine what it would be like for someone who weighs more than me. And my carpet really doesn't need protecting since I'm changing it anyways...
