Chairmat was much thinner the described. It would not even hold the weight of the chair without me sitting it. With me in the chair and i'm just an average weight person the mat indented so bad I coudn't even roll the chair. had to send it back. My old split up pad works better. Guess I'll have to keep looking.
I needed a chair mat for my home office to protect my carpet. Staples had this mat on sale for a very good price and I figured I would give it a try. Worst case scenario is it doesn't work and I have to take it back. I've owned it for about a month now and it still functions properly. It only comes in one size so I was a little concerned about it fitting where I needed it but once I placed it where I wanted it it fits just fine. My only other concern is the thickness (or lack thereof) of the mat. It is rather thin and if my chair remains in one position for an extended period of time it leaves indentations in the mat. They eventually "come out" and the mat reforms its shape but I do wonder if the indentations will eventually tear through. For the price I paid if the mat lasts a year I will be satisfied but only time will tell. As my headline states "So Far So Good."
i bought this to protect my floors at home and then realized it was for carpeting but it is working fine on the tile flooring. it is the right size and my chair can slide over it. it is a little harder to slide it but that is ok since my floor is getting protected. i also do the "no-no" thing of eating at my computer so it catches some crumbs that will once in a while fall and makes that clean up a little easier because i just pick the whole thing up and go with it. i think anyone would think this is a good investment for any kind of floor.
