the wheels dig in and you have to push out of indents. if you have a thin carpet with thin matting under it this is not for you. i'm thinking of taking it back.

This nice thick mat is great ...no divits to sink into... easy to move your chair around on. It doesn't move around on the carpet!

I have to reset this sliding mat several times a day. I bought the one that was supposed to be appropriate for the type of rug I have under my desk but it's not holding its position in any way that's useful. Very disappointed!

This chair mat seems a bit soft. The wheels of my office chair sink into it so I try to move positions regularly to keep from creating a hole. It seems to be good quality and it fits my space perfectly. Fair price too.
