I did not need anything special-just simple. The product is ok however it is too thin for the carpet that I have. Even though I measured the depth of my carpet that seemed very close to what was on the showroom floor and assured by sales staff that it will work with the chair that I had recently purchased at same Staples it has turned out to be a mistake. Dents developed on the mat from the chair within 2 days. I am assuming that my carpet is thicker than I thought. Therefore I likely purchased the incorrect type and need a thicker and stronger mat. Be careful and do not buy this cheaper model unless you have extremely thin carpet. A big mistake. It’s worth any extra expense to be right .

The Chair Mat is pretty flimsy. Definitely not for anything but a solid floor or flat carpet. I would have returned this but my kid grabbed it and started using it immediately (virtual learning). I don't expect the Mat to last long and maybe when I replace it there won't be a pandemic so I can actually inspect the materials for durability.

I was first pleased with the price of this Staples chair mat and that it was in stock at the store. Next I have to say I was pleased that the weight of it. It had a curl to it from the ride home in the car. An hour or so I returned to my office to see it was laying completely flat.

Purchased tis mat about 3 weeks ago. Says its for medium pile carpeting not at all accurate. After about 3-4 days of use the chair wheels started making impressions into the mat. Will be returning as soon as possible.

This chair mat is the only one that I found that is thick enough that works on thick carpet and holds the chair so it doesn't sink into it rendering is useless. Great buy and great product.
