Making my home office better

After nearly 12 months of fighting my rolling chair and the edge of my carpet getting flipped and tangled up I finally bought this item. I've had it about a week and although it seems so simple it really has removed one agitation point about working in my home office. Delivery was faster than expected - win-win.

I like that it doesn't have a lip or the sharp pointy spikes like my old chairmat but this one is not thick enough. My carpet is on the thicker side this mat's 3/4" carpet rating and the wheels of my chair constantly sink into the mat leaving indents that make it harder to roll around.

Mat is adequate but not great

I wanted a mat that is pliable and would not crack over time. I believe that this mat meets those goals and will be very durable. However the mat dents easily leaving my chair coasters sitting in a divot and making it hard to move the chair. The mat also moves on our carpet. The cleats on the bottom of the mat are not sufficient to keep the mat from moving. My carpet pile is medium (measures about 1/4 inch) but I'm wondering how much better a similar mat made for deeper pile might work.

I ordered the mat that was marked appropriate for 3/8" pile carpeting but it sits too high. This caused indentations from the chair's casters.

I agree with the other reviewers - after a week there are already indentations from the chair. Okay for my purposes but if you are going to be at your desk for 8 hrs. a day giving this a lot of wear and tear you probably would want to upgrade to a more sturdy mat.
