Unfortunately the mat didn't work for me. As soon as I sat in the chair it wouldn't move because the mat sunk into the rug. Apparently there are different thicknesses for different types of carpet.

I've been working from home since March 2020 and this mat was a couple of years old at that time so I believe I got my money's worth and bought another one. It's just big enough to allow free movement without rolling off the edge and it is soft enough to be quiet.

i did not like staples shipping method they folded the mat in half to ship it one week later there is still a bump in the mat where it was folded

works as advertised. It flattened immediately and didn't have any weird off-gassing smells. Scoots around a little on the hardwood floor over the course of a full work day but I think that's to be expected and not so much that I find myself having to fix it more than once every few days.

For the price this is an OK purchase. Delivered on time (within days) and I like the beveled edges which makes it easier to roll my chair from the mat to the carpet. I also like that the studs on the bottom of the mat were rounded so they were easy to handle. Those are the pros. The con is that the mat had indentations after only one day of use.
