The product is fine for I need it for. I just wish it were cheaper. I can't believe a piece of plastic is over $20 and that there other ones there for over $50. That is rediculous.
Bought two less than a year ago for use on thick pile carpet. They both began to wear out within six months and now both have a huge hole in the center. Now I need to replace them. Would not recommend these for use on thick pile carpet.
I have bought and replaced a number of these mats. You would think that a good one could be made. These mats are lousy... good for only a few months if that!
This product is listed as a "Berbermat" it is not nearly thick enough for berber carpeting. Perhaps commercial grade flat carpet but nothing with any depth and definitely not for carpets that have padding underneath. I am an average to slim person and the wheels from my chair made indents in the mat within the first hour of use. Trying to roll your chair out of the indents is like trying to jump a curb with your car you can do it but it it takes a bit of force. Standing on the mat for even a few seconds in bare feet which actually feels kind of good you can see and feel it indenting. All in all the mat will probably save some wear on your carpet but the accompanying aggrevation is probably not worth it.
I bought 2 of these for my office after putting down hardwood floor. They protect alright BUT The dirt/ animal hair gets up underneath the mat. So when I clean I have to take them out & vaccum/ mop both sides of the mat.I am considering removing them altogether.I am very disapointed in that I paid this much & have this to deal with.
Style and design are good however it did not hold up. Cracked too soon. Warranty is a joke. I did all I was supposed to do for a replacement but they wanted more and more info. Wasn't worth my time. Would never recommend it to anyone.
We have 4 of these. Of the 4 one got wheel holes in them over a period of a year. I bought another one. I think if the old one got ruin from the weight not being even on the mat. Wheel half on mat and half on the floor is what made the old one break. None of the original 3 have the holes or are worn. This new one has been fine since we purchased.
