The mat is perfect

I got the mat and put it down under my chair and desk. I spend about 3-4 hours in the chair a day (it's in my office). My chair does not slide out when I sit on it and does not wander when I want to stay still. Some people have commented on inadequate thickness so I looked at that characteristic before I laid it down. Personally for my bamboo floor I would not want it any thicker - it would feel like falling off of a cliff when I rolled off the edge. It has a professional look and feel to it. I have no complaints.

Great Buy! Looks Great On Hardwood!

I purchased two of these mats for my home office as we just refinished our hardwood floors and I wanted to make sure they were protected yet seen. These mats are wonderful! They are unobtrusive you are able to see the floors beautifully through these mats they look and feel great! I am very pleased with the quality and the price. Would absolutely buy again!

Not nearly as thick rugged and durable as the one I purchased from another vendor for the same price. I'm sure I'll have to replace this at some point in the future as a result.

i have a thick plush round rug in my home office and was always getting stuck when i rolled back and was usually flipping or bunching the rug up every time i moved. buying this mat was a great solution to my problem.

Probably OK on 1/4" carpet with no pad

This pad would probably work fine on 1/4" carpet with no padding but consider a heavier weight mat for any thicker or padded carpet. Chair wheels tend to dent the mat when used on thicker or padded carpet.

Other cloth/rubber mats in guard house wore out too quickly from chair rollers.This one doesn't wear.
