This is one of the shoddier products Staples sells but there's not much else available like it. It only lasts 1-2 years with average use and then gets brittle and cracks and disintegrates.

Does the job well

For the price of this unit you get excellent wear and use. It forms out flat and stays in place on a carpeted surface without any problems. It allowes your chair to roll around easily without sliding. The small nubs on the bottom sink into the carpet and hold the mat in place. The mat is well designed and functional. The price is reasonable for the superiour quality that you recieve.

The chair mat will not stay in place on my carpet no matter what I do...It's very good carpet and I have a leather chair on wheels. I don't know how to fix this problem.

Chair Mat Cracked

The Chair Mat worked fine for several months but developed cracks in it and became brittle. The Staples store would not honor the crack resistant warranty and gave me a warranty phone number. They were pleasant to talk to but I had to mail in a warranty request along with a piece of the mat. They were going to send me a new replacement mat. I am at a loss for a mat until I receive the new replacement. Staples used to replace a defective mat at the store and that was very helpful. I wonder what happened to the customer service.
