Im really disappointed with this mat. It rolls on the carpet with the movements with my chair. I was hoping that the back will hold the mat on place instead I have to move it daily at the end of my day o I will have a bump when it reach my desk legs
We bought these economy style chair mats for all the desks in our offices. For the most part they have held up fairly well. These hug right into the carpeting that each room these are used in has and stay in place. They are easy to lift up when needed and do protect the carpet from damage from the chairs or shoes that are placed on the carpet. But please note that these are economy mats and are not intended for heavy duty usage or to withstand all types of damage or movement type of plastic mat covers. We did have to replace one that started to fall apart and have holes and tears in it. Most likely due to the high heels the person sitting there had as well as constant moving of it as her office was cleaned. So They are far from pefect and we did get a few years use out of it. For the price and time it lasted we really have no complaints. Just realize it is for light usage and if someone is just sitting there and functioning normally they will hold up fine. The rest of the mats we bought are still going strong. If you want an affordable easy to maintain and standard good quality chair mat this is the one to go with. If you want something more heavy duty and durable you may want to go with something a bit better. This is a good bang for your buck and we would definitely get these again given the opportunity.
This is my second one of these pads. The first one lasted for YEARS but I finally wore through it. It's on a low-pile carpet and I'm at my desk 6 to 7 days a week often 10 to 12 hours a day. Impressive longevity in my book. I have two computer desks and two computers at a 90 degree angle to each other and this pad is large enough to let me move from one to the other with no problem. It's also very discreet greying out the color of the carpet but not being a visual slam like a color might be. I'm very happy with it and will buy another years from now when it finally wears through :)
