great carpet protector

This is the best of several mats I have tried. Most importantly the teeth hold and there is no slippage. I am also impressed with the warranty length.

I was having difficulty moving my office chair around the office on the carpet. Since I purchased the chair mat moving my desk chair takes no effort at all. the chair rolls around the mat with absolute ease. The mat also saves wear and tear on the office carpet plus the clear mat allows the beauty of the carpet to show through. All the edges of the mat lay flat without rolling up even at the corners to prevent tripping or snagging. Excellent product!

I knew when I ordered this that it was probably pretty thin...it is. It does the job of allowing the casters to roll on carpet but it is not very substantial.

Decent Chair Mat

I've had Staples chair mats in the past and they hold up well. I had wood floors installed in my home office and had to replace the carpet type for this one. Actually had to buy two. They are easily trimmed as well for a more custom install. My only concern is that they tend to slide rather easily on the hardwood. I solved that problem by placing the tower computer on one and part of the desk return on the other. Time will tell how we'll they hold up but if they are like the others I have had I expect they will do fine. And maybe Staples can come up with some way to prevent the sliding issue.
