Protects the carpet

Works great. Protects the carpet from the continued opening and closing of the cabinet door. Keeps that quarter circle rut from appearing in the new carpet.

2nd one I bought

This works for our computer in our home. It stays where it is supposed better than other I have used. I liked it so much I bought another one for under my exercise work bench and it works wonderfully there also. Then put it under my exercise bike because we had new carpet put down to keep the bike up off the carpet in case of any rust and is also great for that. Don't have to mess with other objects like rugs to keep them in place and covered for protection under the exercise equipment.

chairmat
on February 5, 2014

I got this chair mat for a home office. It's on top of some really fluffy carpeting so I do find that my wheels on my chair tend to sink in a bit and sometimes I get stuck in one place. It's on the smaller side but that's perfect for my small work space. For the price I don't feel like you could really beat it! I would recommend this for sure!

The jury is still out
on February 5, 2014

This chairmat is a little different from the three others I have tried ... the carpet grips are rectangular not pointed tacks. Will this make a difference in it longevity? The jury is out. I hope that it last longer than the 18 months (or less) the previous three prevailed before beginning to crack chip and disintegrate. I am not so concerned about the "beauty of my office carpet showing through" as I am in the chairmat's durability. Check in again in 17 months and I'll let you know if this is just another product with planned obsolescence.

Sturdy and durable; lasts a long time

This flat pile carpet chair mat with lip lasts a long time is durable and holds up with my chair rolling over it day after day. I would recommend this product. The price is reasonable and given the length of time that it lasts works out to just pennies a day for the cost. It doesn't ruin the carpeting or floor underneath and the chair slides smoothly and cleanly across the mat. It is so flat that you don't trip on it when walking from the carpet to the mat. It's definitely worth buying.

Not for chairs with thin rollers
on January 31, 2014

I passed up on the matts in the store because they were out of heavy duty ones. I ordered the heavy duty one on the web site. It was a big one and fit my space perfectly. I bought a very expensive chair at the store (the red Sealy one). It's the only red chair in the store and you've probably seen it. The chair has two rollers on each leg and they are each very thin (1/2in). When measured together they span around 2 in. It makes a good solid contact with the matt but the matt dents under the weight of me and the chair. I'm 250lbs but 6'3". I think if the matt was really built heavy duty it would take my weight. As it is now the indentations of the rollers have made points that the chair gets stuck in and becomes very hard to move the chair. Simply put the matt needs to be thicker if it is to be called a heavy duty matt. I said I would recommend this but only with a warning it may indent.
