I ordered and received the Staples Low Pile Carpet Chair Mat lip 36x48. This is the first time I have been disappointed with Staples. The mat was not packaged in any way and one corner was broken. The delivery man called to get directions to our home and it's a good thing he did. We live in a remote area in a gated community which is difficult to find so we met him at a different location to save him time and effort. I immediately noticed the broken mat but decided to keep it rather than inconvenience the driver who seemed a bit put out. All delivery vehicles need to be equipped with a GPS and arrangements made with our development to get an access code. This delivery was not made by UPS or Fedex but appeared to be an independent service which would explain the difficulty of the delivery.
Tongue size not listed on the measurements for this item. Too much movement with the movement of chair. The securing "blocks" do not seem to grab and hold at all. It's better than having nothing for the price.
The mat worked great for me. I have a low pile carpet with an 8lb pad so I needed something to keep my carpet from being crushed. This worked wonderful. It did seem to sink in if I sat in the chair to long but it bounced back wonderfully. A thicker chair mat may have worked better but I am using it for my home office.
This chair mat is way too cheap. Buy the more expensive one. This one dents everywhere the wheels of the chair land. It is difficult to move on. I have a better one under an art chair that is at least 20 years old. I won't have this one much longer at all. I hate it.
