It's OK!

I purchased one already and its time for another!!?? It didn't last very long. I should by a more expensive one maybe it would last longer but the prices are not in-line with the product or value. Why do chair mats cost so much? I'll try this one again and hope for the best.

Makes my desk chair roll easier on my carpet. Like it a lot. Good buy and lots of sizes to choose from at STAPLES.

I've been buying most of my office equipment at Staples for many years. My son worked for Staples back in 2001 and he purchased a computer table for us. We still use it all these years later. Since moving to South Jersey I went to Staples to look for a chair mat. Sure enough I found one. I purchase it about two years ago and it is still in good shape. While at the store last week I walked by the mats and saw mine. I decided to buy another one to have on hand. Since it is by our computer my husband and I make great use of it.. The sales rep was so helpful. When he saw me struggling to take it down and put into my carriage he assisted me by taping it up so it would be easy to bring to the register. I love this store!

I've only had it a couple of weeks. It APPEARS OK but already I've noticed it crawls or creeps across my carpet and I have to keep moving it back where I want it. My old one didn't creep. I have no idea how long it will last. The one this replaced was aqbout 4 years old and had a lifetime guarantee. That's why I bought it. When it cracked Staples said the manufacturer no longer honors that guarantee and returned my full purchase price less tax and shipping. I took it. This one is supposed to be for 3/4" pile carpet which is what I have but I noticed it is "thinner" than my old one so it's anybody's guess as to how long it will last! Until it cracks I guess I have to be satisfied with it.

Overall a great product - makes rolling the task chair almost effortless. Love the design of the cleat bars underneath which keep the mat in place but don't puncture your skin when you try to move it. The ramps on the edge also work beautifully for times when you need to move the chair elsewhere in the room. It was not a problem for me but the mat did have a rather strong plastic smell when first delivered. The smell disapates in a day or so - those with sensitive noses might want to let it air out in another room before installing it in their desk area. Overall superior to the name-brand mat it replaced.
