Should have got this years ago. It has a nice feel to it somewhat flexible - not stiff. Should keep the chair from further damaging the wood flooring.

We purchased this item about a year ago. Cut it in half and are using half under our computer desk and the other half under my wifes painting table. Nice thick mat and should last ten times longer than the thinnner mats.

This would work fine on a very low-pile carpet but is a bit thin for a thicker rug.
