Excellent- plus I ordered online and it was delivered in 2 days. This is the second time we have purchased these mats thru Staples and keep going back for new or different rooms or offices.

I replaced an existing Staples chair mat that was about 5 years old and started to show signs of wear and cracks. This is the same item I had purchased previously but was substantially thinner plastic and immediately shows dimples where the chair wheels sit (on a flat carpet on concrete) this was never the case with the old one. In addition the item was delivered rolled up and had clearly been tossed around. It was warped in 2 corners and required a heat gun to get the extreme warps and buckles to flatten out a bit... I would probably not purchase this item again sight-unseen...

If you are sensitive to toxic smelling chemicals then you will love this mat. I have a hyper sensitivity to chemicals so when I ordered this mat online I figured that I would have to put it outside on the patio for a couple of months before bringing it inside to my home office. Wow! was I surprised. No odor coming off this mat. I know you can order mats that do not smell of chemicals but at a much higher price! Never thought you could buy a non toxic mat at such a reasonable price! I am thrilled with this purchase.

Chair mats durability

Chair mats are rather expensive come in various thicknesses and stiffness. They state that a mat is for a certain thickness carpet and so on. They don't seem to tell you thickness in thousands of an inch or rate durability which is of interest to me. The main problem with mats is that over time they develop cracks until chunks of plastic are cut out and make unusable. The typical desk chair wheels today are narrower which make this problem more pronounced by concentrating the weight on a smaller area. This mat seems to be not as rigid and the wheels actually leave a small depression but so far on a prior purchase after 1.5 years not crack the mats plastic. I bought two of these mats and the one my father uses on thicker carpet he claims actually creeps and changes location under the desk. I believe this is because of his carpet and the rectangular cleats under side are not sufficient to hold in place on thicker carpet. Problem is mats stated for use on thick carpets are significantly more expensive. Get what you are willing to pay for I guess!

These were a little less sturdy than expected. The sticky labels were a tad annoying when peeling them off. Once it was down and under the chair and desk it looked and worked great! Thanks!

Mat was for my desk chair and unfortunately when I sit on my chair my weight leaves depressions in the mat and then rolling becomes difficult. I'm not that heavy and neither is my desk chair. this should not be happening. Would not recommend this mats
