I got this to use on a beat up wood floor since it doesn't have the nubs on the bottom like those intended for carpet. The size is only 36 by 48 inches so it isn't ideal for large desks. However I just have a small narrow Sauder computer desk of the sort that is ideal for laptops. The short dimension is ideal for this desk and it doesn't stick out too far in the small room where I'm using it. . It began to lay flat after being unrolled only a few minutes. I haven't tried a chair on it yet but it looks ideal.

Good thickness and nice material

This chair mat provides enough thickness while also looking nice with our light-colored wood floors. I like it better than the clear ones that I purchased. My rolling chair glides pretty easily on the surface while the mat is thick enough not to damage the floor. But we'll have to confirm as I've only had the mat for around two and a half weeks. Delivery with Staples was very easy - which made the process very nice. They had someone courier the mat to my house to make sure we got it in a reasonable amount of time. Overall I think the chair mat is a good buy at a great price.

I see some scratches on the chairmat. It looks like a used one but Ok because I want to use only under the chair.

Very nice floor protector but very disappointed with the Staples online ordering process. First the site said my local branch had them the. Cancelled the entire order when there was no stock available. A CSR reached by phone to clarify the situation reentered the order but forgot my original discounts. Pickup was delayed a full day when the local store had the boxes sitting and no one to check them in. Overall nice product but I am through with 'shop to store'.

The mat is good looking for the money and I think it would work on hardwood floors fine I used it over an area rug and it slips but still work for me.
