Staples Remanufactured Drum doesn`t disappoint! Brother DR630

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Because getting stuff printed NOW is essential to my business I usually shy away from remanufactured parts for my printers always sticking to the OEM supplies. But because of the cost savings I opted to try a Staples remanufactured drum for my Brother DCP-L2540DW multi-function machine. It worked great when I first installed it as I had hoped. First few hundred pages no problem. Then I got ambitious and ran some heavy card stock through the machine much higher than it was rated to print. The stock got jammed in the machine. I fished it out. But the card stock had pushed the tolerances of the drum which left streaks and extra toner on the pages that followed. I thought I had toasted the drum.But I was wrong! I pulled the drum out slid the drum`s little clean-off tab back and forth four or five times and reinserted it into the machine. It worked! The first few prints that followed pulled the residual extra toner through the machine and the prints have been clear ever since. That was more than 400 sheets ago.All good. I`d buy this drum again.

The replace drum light went on. I ordered this. I installed it. The replace drum light still goes on. The Brother multi-function worked fine before but had started making a funny noise. Now it works fine and doesn't make a funny noise. I guess that's progress.

Did not work as well as I thought it should of did not last at all I will not purchase Brother printers ever again the drum does not last like my other printers do and does not give you a warnning that the toner is running low it just stops working for a busy office this is not acceptable.
