Transfer did not apply to shirt. Edges peeled up easily. I can only imagine how the transfer after a wear and a wash. Out money for a shirt and transfers. Going to try an online service hope I have better luck.
Cons: Poor Quality

The Backing that Never comes off

Wow - this ia the worst product I have ever purchased from Avery. We have spent the last two hours between three people trying to peel away the transfer. We have read the directions and tried the tricks which Avery recommends which is tearing from tehback. The transfer is supposed to stretch while the paper tears....this unfortunately is not the case. I am going to try another manufacturer. This product needs to be pulled and fixed prior to selling to to consumers.

Use your head

I have used this product as well as the Light transfers and think they are great. The negative reviews I read could be fixed if people would use their heads. Color bleed is a function of the dyes used with the shirt, not the transfers. Reds and Blues are the big offenders. Wash the shirt FIRST. Fluff dry and press, then apply the transfer. NOTE: the better the shirt, the better the dye; cheap doesn't get it. To remove the transfer easily, leave a slight margin at the edge of the image. If you cut the image out of the transfer, leave a tab at the narrow part or corner of the image. When applying the transfer, place a piece of paper or scrap fabric between this tab or margin and the shirt. Apply the transfer normally. Use the piece of fabric or paper as a place to start peeling. The transfer backing should be firmly attached to the paper or scrap. If your shirt or transfer burns, take the image and shirts to a t-shirt shop and have them do it; you don't get it and you will only ruin more shirts. You are applying too much HEAT for TOO LONG !!! I did nearly 100 school logo transfers for a reunion and didn't loose one. USE YOUR HEAD

This stuff is so expensive and I got one shirt to turn out decent out of 2 boxes. You can't peel the backing off the iron-on even though is states on the box iron-on will not tear....the whole thing rips and when you put it on with the iron, hottest setting like it calls for it burns and leaves iron marks all over the garment. I ruined 3 shirts with this useless product. Never again will I use the Avery product for crafts. $70.00 in T shirts and the cost of this product X 2 and I get one lousy shirt

We are sorry to hear this. Generally, we see peeling occur if there was not enough pressure or heat while ironing. We would recommend visiting avery.com/transfers and make sure that all the steps are followed as closely as possible. If you still continue to have this issue, please reach out to our Care Team at avery.com/contact so we may take a closer look at this issue and try to make it right for you.

Colors Did Not Come Out Correct
on January 8, 2022
Posted by: ChandlerAZ
from Chandler, AZ
Using Avery 3279, HP inkjet with original ink, and heatpress, the colors did not come out correct after heatpress (320, 40secs). The 3279 is not thick enough to cover the dark fabric. In the picture below, the logo on the right is before it is heatpress. The logo on left is after it’s heatpressed on the dark fabric.

We are sorry to see this. We generally see yellowing occur on fabric transfers if the temperature is too high or if you apply the heat for too long. Please be sure to follow the directions carefully when applying your fabric transfer. We demo videos for our transfers at avery.com/transfers. You can also reach out to our Care Team at avery.com/contact or call us at 800-462-8379 and we would be happy to help you.

BACKGROUND IS WHITE NOT CLEAR! NOT WHAT I WANTED!!
on February 25, 2017

THE BACKGROUND IS WHITE! I bought these to add text to navy T-shirts. It should be a clear label so the DARK SHIRT shows through. I am baffled that this even exists.
