Bounty paper towels changed - So will I after 25 years

There are two name brand products I always had to have. Bounty Paper Towels and Northern Toilet Paper. Two months ago, I bought an eight pack of Bounty paper towels as I typically do, and have been doing so for my kitchen for over 25 years. The new Bounty paper towels are thin, cheap, horrible quality, and indistinguishable from previous Bounty paper towel products. Store brand paper towels are now better than the new Bounty paper towels. I'm not talking about the new Essentials brand of Bounty paper towels. I am talking about the standard Bounty paper towels I had been using for 25 years.
Bounty paper towels lost a long-time customer. I will not spend the kind of money they charge for a now horrible product.
After 25 years of only buying Bounty paper towels, I will be switching to Brawny as long as I can find their product. Now, the difference between Bounty and Brawny is like night and day.

Why The Change?

Why did you change your paper towels, Bounty? As so many others have said, they are rough and thin and don’t tear as easily. I have used Bounty forever but I’m not going to keep paying for the Bounty name if I am not going to get the Bounty quality I am used to getting. I can pay less for some other brand and get these kind of inferior paper towels. Did you all focus group test this change before you did it? Surely you knew your loyal customers would notice this change and not be happy. I hope you are noticing now that we aren’t going to stick around if you don’t bring back the old Bounty we know and love.

Enough Already

Why can't you guys be totally transparent and list every roll type and amount of sheets they contain on your website? Regular roll, family roll, double roll, triple roll, double plus roll, giant roll, mega roll, and now something called a forever roll. Also, select-a-size and quick size. Did I leave one out? This is utterly ridiculous and deliberately confusing for the consumer. I shouldn't have to visit a store and stare at packaging for hours to figure out the best value for me. I have been a loyal customer and used your paper towels for at least 30 years. I am now done. I'll be switching to another brand that is more transparent to its consumers.

Thinner and higher price

Completely different than their pre-COVID paper towels. The new ones are horrible. They cut input costs, and raised prices.

Feels like cheap generic paper towels now

Why did you change the select a size paper towels? They are terrible now! They feel like cheap dollar store paper towels. This is a huge mistake and you will be losing so many loyal customers if you don't change back to how they used to be. I feel like I got ripped off and I want my money back! Unfortunately I bought the 12 pack of triple rolls so I will be stuck with these crappy paper towels for a while.

We upgraded our Bounty Paper Towels to "Trap and Lock" messes faster making us the even Quicker Picker Upper. With the change came a new embossing. Just be honest

So disappointed with the obvious changes in bounty paper towels. No longer the same quality and not worth the price. I think they are skipping a few layers in a classic shrinkflation move. Wouldn’t have purchased 2 big packages recently had I realized.

The NEW design/embossing is terrible.

Loyal bounty customer for 20+ years. Purchased a 6 pack this week and it was the first time I’ve experienced this new texture. I’m not sure if it soaks up more or whatever scientific reason was used for the change, but it feels rough and uncomfortable to use compared to the old texture. Also, the lack of warning about the change on packaging is a breach of customer trust. I’ll be looking for a new brand.
