I weigh about 120 lbs and use a 5 wheeled office chair that's probably not much more then 10 pounds if i had to guess. I spend about 5-9 hours daily at my desk with this mate and have had it for a couple of weeks now. It is situated in a carpeted room. It's not a badly made mate by any means. It came in good condition completely flat and not rolled which i appreciated. However it has begun to dent now i dont weigh much and so the dents are minimal. But I can see how the denting could continue until it was annoying. This would be ok for a hard floor. maybe over a rug or in very short/office carpet. but for your average home carpet i would probly have shelled out a little extra for something thicker.

The Mat does the job but my concern is the deep impressions the chair makes in the mat while sitting. My carpet is a flat pile. The chair mat should have been sturdier.
