Was purchased because other mat cracked. Not good enough construction. Chair seems to make indents and then doesn't glide. Would not recommend purchasing.
Good product but bought it in Broomfield Colorado and paid well over 8% sales tax. Won't ever shop again at the Staples store in Broomfield because of that.
I use the plastic mat under my desk chair in my home office. The mat is not very thick which results in the chair wheels causing dents when I sit still for awhile. When that happens it is difficult to roll out of the dents. Trying to roll out of the dents without getting up from my chair results in the mat sliding on the carpet. This mat might work better on thinner carpet although it does require some nap. Flat carpet (no nap) or no carpet would not be good for this mat. It has teeth and needs to sink into something. I thought that 'plush' meant either heavy duty or for thick carpet. 'Plush' has turned out to be misleading.
Perfect size for space .. the only drawback was the incredibly strong chemical odor that persisted for a week after delivery. My boss thought there were burning tires in my office.
[...] It was not protected by cardboard so the spikey back was exposed and awkward to carry to the office areas without getting jabbed. Not to mention they were just plopped on the floor in a pile bent and curled. Plus without the packaging the manufacturer's label is permanently affixed to the mat and it doesn't come off without some kind of effort and solvent. So now we just have to look at it all day under our feet and it is rather unsightly and unprofessional looking. The label should be removable without stickiness and excess effort. I haven't had it long enough to see the long term wear and tear effects. But I do like the size. Works well in our areas at the office. The edges are beveled nicely too. Seems like it should hold up fine.
