I love that this mat does not hurt your hands when it is being handled yet it easily stays in place when laid down due to the "rounded" bottom hooks.

Although the mat doesn't fit all the way under the desk it looks nice and the chair rolls nicely on it. It is not too bulky but just thick enough to still look attractive.

did not work on our carpet (tight pile)

This product did not work in our home. We have a low tight pile carpet and our chair wheels are not being supported by this model chair mat. It may be sufficient for a commercial pile carpet.

I got a little more than a years usage before the mat started cracking and had to be replaced. It would be helpful if the mat was at least a quarter inch thicker.
